LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Seniors, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty-three, having labored twelve years in acquiring our possessions, do command to our heirs that they not be squandered. On these terms we do relinquish our said possessions as follows: JUNIORS: To this class we will our few meager privileges. FACULTY: To this group we give our sincere appreciation for their guidance and do repent of the many headaches we have caused them. Guy Burke wills his presidency of the Beta Club to anyone who likes big headaches. Jean Wilson and Betty Jo Carrington leave their tall statures and long legs to Lois Teague and Jean Chatham. To Janie Russell, Bobby Jean Deal wills her special seat on the bus. Leon Harrington wills his ability on the gridiron to Paul Harrington with the order to keep 'em winning. 1 Nancy McBride Deal leayes.her ability to catch a man to anyone who can play basketball and stay up ate to get one. ' The ability to make lasting friendships is left to Betty Dyson and Mack Fox by Jo Ann Bradshaw and Naomi Dyson. 4 Nancy Smith and Linda Brookshire will their seriousness and dull times at T. H. S. to Penny Moffett and Joan Bennett. Frances Watts and Mary Ellen Herman will their inability to learn French to all the first year students. Donald Bolick and Max Young leave their unruly hair to Wade Price and Forrest Matheson. To her sister Ann, Thelma Bowman wills her heart-warming smile. Caynelle Pennell wills her blond hair to the person lucky enough to have it. To J. T. Coonse, is left the job of assistant football coach, by Fred Cline. Angelle Brown, Barbara Childers, Celia Kerley, and Frances Bowman will their ability to stay up all night at slumber parties and stay awake in class the next day to anyone foolish enough to do it. Connie Crouch and Alma Chapman leave their studiousness to anyone who deserves to make good and who will study as hard as they do. J Cliirord Ferguson wills his seat in economics to anyone who wants it. All of Jimmy Robinette's books are left to Shirley Campbell. To Rachel Fox, Margaret Mitchell wills her Senior Superlative. Herman Meredith leaves his awkwardness to brother Bobby, hoping he can overcome it. Isabel Ingram wills to Toni Pennell her nickname Inky. To Johnny Hollar, Clyde Kerley wills his good times in agriculture. h Charles Allen wills his job as Sports Publicity Manager to anyone intelligent enough to do such a dumb t ing. Betty Walker leaves to Louise Jolly everything she doesn't take with her. Irene Caldwell leaves her good times at T. H. S. to Faye Caldwell. Jimmy Davis and Bobby Fortner will their hairdos to Guy Barnes and Terl Austin. To brother Ralph, Lewis Herman wills his ability to drive his bus wrecklessly. Winfred Chicken Walker leaves his good studying habits to anyone who can use them. To Grant Teague, Clarence Austin wills his broad smile. Betty Jean Barnes wills her freckles to anyone that the sun so blesses. Lewis Pennell and Dale Austin leave taking all they can carry off, the scraps are to be picked up by the janitor and disposed of as he sees fit. . To Elvis Barriger is left Carl Matheson's dislike for girls. To Willena Little, Clara Brookshire wills her errors in typing. Milton Flake Campbell, alias Bobby, leaves his little red Ford to Cuz Campbell, tif he can start itJ. Helen Childers wills to Joan Childers her black hair and sunny smile. Margery Lowe wills her shorthand book to anyone as dumb as she is. To Yvonne Deal, Helen Brown leaves her fiery disposition. Franklin Howie leaves to Raymond Kerley his well trained and disciplined brain. Bill Johnson leaves his good times driving bus No. 18 to Dewey St. Clair. Ned Barnes wills his smile to anyone who will use it wisely. To Ed and Luke F oshee, David Evans wills his little Ford. To Kivette Bowman is left Johnny Davis' musical ability. Caynelle Bumgarner wills her sweet disposition to some needy Junior. To Talmage Bowman, Wayne Johnson wills his ability to catch the big ones. Phil Johnson leaves to Bruce Echerd his tallness. Connie Mullis wills his Mr. America build to some skinny Junior. Jo Ann St. Clair leaves her Bookkeeping book to anyone who is good at keeping figures straight. To Sam Jenkins, Johnny Mitchell leaves his quickness in leaming football plays. ' Levern Austin leaves to his brother the nickname Bum. Larry Cline wills anything he leaves to anyone who wants it. To J. C. Dyson, Burrell Bowman wills his popularity with girls. Julia Bentley and Clara Jane Daniels will their hard work in summer school to Dean Daniels. Sam Robinette leaves his good humor to anyone who needs it. To Ned Davis, Frank Lail leaves his nickname Red Steer. Oren Wagner and Bruce Bowman will their hard times at T.H.S. to Talmage Bowman and J. P. Austin, Jr. Claudine Carpenter leaves her happy .days at school to Mary Ann Mayberry.
