.Mdfory We can parallel our high school career with that of a ship. In 19415 the SS Taylorsville High departed for a four year journey to the port of Graduation, with one hundred and thirteen members aboard. Mr. Feimster, Mr. Gomedela, Mrs. Moselle Watts were our sponsors. The oflicers directly in charge were Coy Bebber, James Meadlock, Jo Ann Richey, and Ann Dalton. That year we suffered initiations which the upper classmen thought were fitting and proper. With happy memories we left the Freshman dock. The second year we lost, at our first stop, twenty-three of our original number, but the rest of us had become adjusted and were beginning to- enjoy our visit on Sophomore Island. Our sponsors this year were Mr. Bolick, Mr. Greer, and Mrs. Sherrill. Our officers were Coy Bebber, Linda Sue Pennell, Virginia Herman, and Maxine Mays. We began raising money for the J unior-Senior. On our second stop twenty-seven members strayed ashore. We were led by Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Misenheimer. Our oflicers were Coy Bebber, James Meadlock, Juel Johnson, and Sandra Motsinger. We were so thrilled when we got our class rings. Again we raised money for the Junior-Senior. We decorated our decks for the Old Dutch Garden . It seemed we had stopped in Holland for a short visit. This year our baseball team won the Highland Conference Title. On the last days of our voyage, in the sea of learning, only fifty of the original one hundred and thirteen took their places as Seniors. James Meadlock, Coy Bebber, Juel Johnson, and Sandra Motsinger were elected Senior Class Oliicers. Mrs. Ingram and Mrs. Osborne are our sponsors. lVe had a successful football team of which we were very proud. We have many things to look forward to-the J unior- Senior-Senior Play-Basketball in the new gym-Baseball season-Class Day and Graduation. I We are expecting to land the latter part of May. We want to thank our teachers, our principal, and our parents for steering our ship to the port of Graduation. SANDRA MIOTSINGER
