The many phases of Wandering Wheels combine to make a successful ride for Christ. Wheels venture for Christ Wandering Wheels achieved two firsts during the summer of 1971. Un- der the leadership of Bob Davenport, forty-four young men traveled 2800 miles through nine European countries. Although encountering difficulties such as inclimate weather and high mountain passes, they had a unique but mean- ingful ministry with the people in Europe. Wheels also sponsored the first co-ed cross country trip consisting of 20 girls and twenty-two boys who rode approxi- mately 2500 miles from San Diego, Cal- ifornia, to Savannah, Georgia. The Wheels concept is to demon- strate the vitality of the Christian fife with the physical adventure. Coach Bob Davenport accepts the key to New York City on behalf of Wandering Wheels. 29
