v It ' s Sunday night already; why is it that the hours of the weekend always fly by so quickly? It seems like it was only a few hours ago when I sat in government class counting the min- utes, thinking, If only I can make it through the next half h our, I ' ll be free at last! Where did the weekend go? I guess some time was spent at the game Fri- day night. Then after the game, and Saturday night, countless hours were spent cruising Lafountain, going to McDonald ' s, and sitting in Hill ' s parking lot. Every weekend seems to be spent this way — a carload of guys or girls, with the music turned up full blast, all hoping to meet someone, to add a little excitement to the week- end. What usually happens though, is that all the time is spent talking with people who have been friends for years. It might all sound pretty dull, but I suppose the continual search to meet someone special and just being with friends really is what makes it exciting. Well, now there ' s a whole new week to make it through until Friday night will return. For now, I suppose the stack of homework-filled books on my desk will have to help me to pass the time.
