As part of a movement for spirit, various clubs from Taylor performed skits at pep ses- sions. Contest were also held at the pep sessions. A spirit stick was made and the class or group that could yell the loudest won the stick. This most of all created most school spirit than anything. A class award for the most school spirit went to the sophomores. Individual spirit awards went to Cindy McMullen and Cindy Muneral. Along side of the Cheerblock this year sat the T- Club, wearing their sweaters and jackets that they earned with their major letters. The boys also were en- thusiastic in raising school spirit as they yelled chants with the Cheerblock and participated in the pep ses- sions. CHEERBLOCK OFFICERS— FIRST ROW: Miss Burrus and Miss Walters, sponsors; B. Manning, president; L. Garrard, v-president. SECOND ROW: P. McMullen, treasurer; T. Manning, program chairman; A. ...SPEAK DIFFERENTLY Gregg helps in making Spanish food. The Spanish Club accomplished a great deal this year. Although the weather was bad during homecoming, many hours of hard work were spent building the club ' s float. Other club activities included collecting canned foods for needy families, a car wash, a Christmas party, and a trip to Purdue. At Purdue, the members attended a Tertulia . The Tertulia was a social gathering where the students spoke Spanish with other people and were served refreshments. Later, a program was presented by a Purdue graduate student who had studied in Spain. The most successful accomplishment of the French Club was to send Vicki Taylor to Europe as a foreign exchange student. The money was earned by having a car wash. SPANISH CLUB— FIRST ROW: S. Owen, R.
