C P SWING BAND— SITTING: B. Barrett, drums; L. Surrisi, guitar; K. Badham, piano. STANDING: N. Cosand, P. Eckert, M. Wilson, J. Boyll, V. Johnston, D. Atkisson, M. Baer, Mr. Rose, leader. This year the Taylor High School Band formed a Swing Band. The swing band played mostly rock music at the Easter program and Spring Concert. Pep band provided halftime entertainment at basketball games and the senior band provided halftime enter- tainment at football games. The Band Boosters spon- sored skating parties as money making projects. The Taylor High School Choir formed a Swing Choir. Along with band, the choir also provided singing at the Easter program and Spring Concert. Nine members of the choir were selected as delegates to the All-State Choir. Wood, D. Davis, M. Drago, J. Martin. ...PRODUCE SPIRIT Cheerblock really went all out this year in order to raise school spirit. As part of a movement for spirit, various clubs from Taylor performed skits at pep ses- sions. Contest were also held at the pep sessions. A spirit stick was made and the class or group that could yell the loudest won the stick. This most of all created most school spirit than anything. A class award for the most school spirit went to the sophomores. Individual spirit awards went to Cindy McMullen and Cindy Muneral. Along side of the Cheerblock this year sat the T- Club, wearing their sweaters and jackets that they earned with their major letters. The boys also were en- thusiastic in raising school spirit as they yelled chants with the Cheerblock and participated in the pep ses- sions.
