The Class of 70 thought the ideal gift that the Junior Class could give was the Junior-Senior Reception and it ' s big success. It was held on May 9, at the United Steel Workers Hall. The reception lasted from 6:30 to 1:00. Dancing began at 9:00 and the music was provided by the Townsmen. The theme of the reception was Drifting and Dreaming. The theme was promoted by the decora- tions of blue and white with silver stars covering the walls. Randy Brantley, Junior Class President read the welcome and Secretary Cindy Brown gave the invoca- tion. Vice-President Brad Webber gave the prophecies, and the Senior Class Vice-President, Bruce Curry, read the wills. The main highlight of the evening was the announc- ing of the Starlight Couple, seniors Ann Maple and Pat Richards. Ann was presented with a charm bracelet and Pat was given a key-chain. The student lounge quinches the thirst of the students. Gary Clover proved to be a real city slicker.
