Couples Receive Candy Canes From Santa The Second Annual Christmas Dance, sponsored by the senior class, was held December 22, 1969. The Lost Souls provided music for the students in grades 9-12 who attended this semi-formal dance. Santa Claus was guest of honor during the evening. He distributed peppermint candy canes to all the couples. Santa also drew names of five students who won Christmas presents. The decoration committee, headed by Patty Mc- Mullen, purchased a 12-foot Christmas tree which was decorated with ornaments donated by the student body. Twinkling tree lights reflected off the foil cov- ered walls and tables as the couples were showered with styrofoam snow during the last dance. Cathy Brown and her food committee prepared sev- eral kinds of Christmas cookies, sandwiches and holi- day punch. Dishes of Christmas candy and nuts decorated the tables. The THS choir sang a number of Christmas carols including the Christmas Song featuring Pam John- son as the soloist. The choir then led the guests in sing- ing familiar carols. Later Gail Wilson was crowned Miss Titan for 1970. 1 1 • 1 1 HT n 1—3 I 1 i J i j A™ It was an enjoyable night for Sherri Richmond and her escort.
