Along with their new red and black shirts and powerful voices the Taylor cheerblock was con- sidered one of the best in this area. The girls helped to build spirit by putting posters up for ball games and making paper buttons for all the students to wear. Under the new sponsorship of Miss Walters, the cheerblock did a great job this year. 88

Friddle. Many hours of hard practice enabled the T.H.S. band to provide half-time entertainment for both football and basketball games. Under the direction of Mr. Reed and Mr. Rose, the marching band ex- pertly performed the opening ceremonies and half- time shows led by Marcia Davidson drum major- ette.
