Each Monday night for two months administrators, teachers, students and community members met in group sessions to compose the large manual which guided the SACSS team during their three day visit to the high school. Mrs. Anne Morgan was the school chairman for the evaluation. Taylor teachers spent their Monday nights last fall as students in a course designed to prepare them for the SACSS evaluation which was held in February. SACSS is the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools which decides the continuing accreditation of Mrs. Lindsey and friend conduct a health class. 26

Faculty “On the Road” in 83-84 1983-84 was a busy school year for those faculty members attending conferences to improve their skills. Mrs. Parker and Mr. Annin attended the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference in Jacksonville in October. Mrs. Daniel, Mrs. Woodell, Mrs. Hamby and Mrs. Faircloth went to an English conference in Fort Walton Beach. Mrs. Sewell and Mrs. Yarbrough attended a media conference in Orlando and Mrs. Lindsey went to St. Pete to study aerobics. Mrs. Daniel, Mr. McGlocklin and Coach Barr Burnt up the highway this school year in the process of writing performance standards to be incorporated with those from the rest of the state. These will hopefully result in a uniform curriculum for the entire state.  Wanda Lilliott History Susan Lindsey Physical Education Dalene McGlocklin Chorus Tom McGlocklin History Parents Contribute to School’s Success While the high school owes a lot to its faculty, administration and staff, the parents are sometimes overlooked in their many contributions to the efficient running of the TCHS machine. Where would the senior class be if their dedicated parents didn’t put together mums, sell balloons, cook hotdogs and chaperone cruises? Where would the football team be if the Booster group didn’t meet regularly to guide its course? And a few nights this year Mrs. Woodell wondered where she would have been if some concerned parents of newspaper students hadn’t brought the fixings for missed suppers. It seems only right that the parents who contribute so much of their time to TCHS should be remembered here. Mrs. Martha Wiggins blows up balloons at the Homecoming game.
