Faces Become Puzzle Pieces We Communicate With Our Faces!! Through facial expressions, we communicate the way we feel — our moods. Whether you are the angry football player who has been clipped by an opposing team member, or the student who has made a perfect score on his history exam, you can communicate your emotions through facial expres- sions. Smiles relay a message of joy — joy in achieving or joy in being a winner. Smiles also sym- bolize happiness. They reflect the good feelings we have about ourselves when we have ac- complished something rewarding. There is joy in teaching, for teaching allows us to share with others a part of our experiences. There is joy in learning, for learn- ing allows us to gain from others a part of their experiences. Both are key pieces in our puzzle. 10
