A Time For Work — And A Time For Play . . . Modern education attempts two things--to place a healthy mind in a healthy body. Geometry, Spanish and Chemistry will con- dition the mind to think, to make decisions, to act. The latter is accomplished through competitive sports, which offer a chance to work with others and understand them at the same time. However, life is not a matter of all study or one big long base- ball game. Work and play must interact with one another to fashion character. And while that character is still being fashioned, make time to study and take time to play.... 6
