crJ eclicu tion With deepest gratitude we, the annual staff of 1 953-54, proudly dedicate this annual to Miss Marian Boyd who has made every effort to help us reach the goals to which each of us have been striving for many years. Her loyalty and service to us will be a shining light as we take our places in life.

THE UNANIMOUS DECLARATION Of The Senior Class Of 1954, T. C. H, S. When in course of school events, it becomes necessary for the Senior Class to dissolve the educational bonds which have connected it to the other classes, and to assume the duties of citizenship for which their school life has prepar- ed them, a decent respect to the opinion of the other classes requires that they should transcribe this history leading up to their graduation. We, the Senior Class of 1954, entered the halls of T. C. H. S. in the fall of 1950, feeling a bit apprehensive but eager to begin our higher education. Our class sponsors were Mrs Alan Hart and Miss Clara Roberts. The year was very suc- cessfully ended with a swimming party at Keaton Beach. As our second session convened, we elected as class officers, Georgianne Carter, President; Darryl Weidler, Vice-President; June Brunson, Secretary-Treasurer; and Mr. John P. Basnar and Mr. A. George Young as sponsors. As Junior statesmen, we began our third session by hav- ing Miss Irene Williams and Mr. Raymond M. Quimby as sponsors; President, Georgianne Carter; Vice-President June Brunson; Secretary-Treasurer, Bert Kuhn. This year of fun began with the football concessions, dances, and ended with a banquet presented for the Senior Class. Taking our honor places as Senior statesmen, we chose Miss Marian Boyd and Mrs. Tobie Walker as our sponsors. For our governing body we elected Dean Watts, President; Jerrel Robertson, Vice-President; and June Brunson, Sec- retary-Treasurer. Excitement rang through the hall at the anticipation of receiving class rings, looking forward to the banquet, and finally graduation. And for the support of this declaration and with a firm reliance on what the future holds for us, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor. 3 f. L
