H, S Underclassmen. We would like to tell you a little about our past 4 years. They have been enjoyable happy years, but not all play. When we entered T, C, H. S. as green Freshmen. all of us began looking forward to the day we would be Seniors. now that that day is here, many of us are sorry that it has come so soon. As we stepped on these now home grounds. we were confronted by a group of monstrous Seniors who painted our faces and made us wear our clothes backwards. As the year got underway, we elected Jo Martin as our class President, Shirley Hash. Vice-Presidentg Carolyn Gardner, Secretary-Treasury: Elwood Tucker, Song Leader, and Evelyn Roberts, Pianist . Some of our class dropped out toward the end of the year, but most of us struggled on. When we advanced to Sophomores we elected Rancell Campbell, Presidentg Pete Gaddis, Vice-President, Jo Martin. Secretary: Pat Calhoun, Treasury, Mavis Routin, Song Leader, and Carolyn Gardner, Reporter. We sold Christmas cards and put on a class Program in chapel to raise money for our class. Our Junior year was one full of excitement. We started off by.elect- ing Rancell Campbell as President: Jo Martin, Vice-President: Carolyn Gardner Crenshaw. Secretary, Kenneth Pike Treasurer, Janice White, Song Leader, and Evelyn Roberts, Pianist. Mr. G. R. Reynolds and Mr. Elvin Durham were our sponsors. Our Junior play, The Path Across The Hill , was a real success, with much credit to Mrs. Margaret E. Tucker. Our Junior and Senior Banquet was also a big success. We used Memories as our theme. Then last but far from least, we ordered our rings for our Senior year. We are the only class thus far to have that privilege. Then our Senior year, a year of happiness and sorrow. We elected Rancell Campbell, President, Walther Rhodes, Vice-President, Shirley Hash, Secretary, Kenneth Pike, Treasury, Kenneth Smith. Reporterg Pat Calhoun, Historiang Johnny Gore and Delia Henderson, Giftorians. and Janice White Henderson, Song Leader. Mr Walter Cooper and Mrs. Harry Richardson were our sponsors. Our class motto was Not Failure but Low Aim is Crime , and our class colors were silver and blue. Then at last our long awaited Senior trip became a reality on March 21, at 5:30, 51 sleepy Seniors, chaperoned by Mr. Owen and Mr. Walter Cooper began the trip for Washington D. C. on a school bus. We had an enjoyable and educational trip. As soon as we returned we were about ready to start work on our graduation exercises. Finally the long awaited day and we walked across the stage to re- ceive our diplomas, we were happy and triumphant, but a touch of sorro was felt at leaving all our happy memories behind.
