Varsity Volleyball This year's Varsity Volleyball team started the season off by taking trophies in each of its first two toumaments of the season. They finished second in the Oscoda Invitational and then took first place in the N.E.M.C . pre-season totunament. The team had high hopes for a winning season but a double loss to Pincomuing cost the team a share of the first place lead and then a stunning loss to Ogemaw Heights forced the team to finish the season in third place with a 14-7 record. The tea then went on to finish second in the Class C Regional championship, losing only to Sanford-Meridian in the championship game, 2 games to 1. The season was also highlighted by three new school records set by Kim McKenzie , Kari Allen, and Donna Hughes. Coach Carol Frank 76 In an W' EW:-'Y XS. '..' lx Y ' I T .V. Volleyball This year the J.V. team was a team of inexperience as there were only two returning players on the team. Despite this fact, the new players displayed a lot of talent and determination. The team finished the season with a respectable record of 5 wins and 6 losses. The girls lost their final game of the season to Oscoda 2 games to 1, but the final game of the match went into overtime several times before the deciding points were scored. With the talent of the returning girls from this year's team and combined with the help of some of this year's freshmen who will be moving up, hopes for an even better season next year are high.
