His beard and the hair on ,his chest have now grown together. , Janice Joiner is still making the single scene. Her husband hunting days aren't over yet, so beware: she is always on the look-out. The red pick-up broke down so she is back to driving the bomb again. She is now Head Lab Technician at Llano Estacado. She frequently comes back to T.H.S. to see Mrs. Chandler: they both have spastic fits before she leaves. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Price are living the life of fame. They hold the world's record for mixed team ropers. After rodeos, they live a very hectic social life, trying to make all the dinner parties the Price family has. Every Tuesday and Thursday nights you will see Cathy going to Mr. Trout's room. Cathy still lives at home with her three sisters and one brother. Shelly Frazier, now owner of Big Shell's Knife and Gun Boutique, is doing a thriving business. Shelly now dates a variety of girls and thinks it's fun. Rick Kennedy will be a little late. Keep up the good work, Rick. Bobby Sooter is now the pastor of the First Baptist Church. His congregation has dwindled to a few faithful souls. Good ole Bob. Who would have thought he would become a preacher. Bart Alford is now the speech writer for the president. Bart's witty lines have brought the president a long way. Who would have thought Bart would have gone that far. You'd understand if you were in our speech class. Cindy Jo Gainer Graham has recently been promoted to head waitress at Joe Keith's Disco. Jojo and Ricky are her best customers. Cindy has really enjoyed her ranch and social life, but coming into town every night, the gas is a little high. p - Bonnie Atkinson is still undecided about her marriage to Jack. This history contains the highlights of the past twelve years. If you will think back to 1965 at Tatum Elemen- tary School, 13 of the 26 graduates here today began first grade together. To start off the list, Bart Alford, born in Colorado, stepped into the school room to meet his new friends. He wasn't aware but the class he came to join contained a variety of people. Seated at the front of the room was Bonnie Atkison, born in Los Angeles, California. Bonnie brought new styles to the class, her short hair and eager mind enthused all to learn. Next to the scene came Rena Bradford. With a smile on her face and a ponytail to swing, she was ready for action. Then there was a silnece as the crowd gathered together as Little Miss Mofit, Pam Cardwell, entered the room. Although being bom in Roswell, Pam had exceeded that downfall and became popular early in Tatum Elementary . Running in with a hoot and a holler came Danny Cogbum. Start from Odessa , Texas Cogbum was here to show us some action. Slowly shuffling his feet into the room came James Hebison. He was not at all excited about what was going to happen . Then came the sound of giggles and the swish of curls. Three little girls entered the room, Janice Jonier, Brenda Justis, and Yolanda Morris. They came to add laughter to the scene. Last but not least came the big five. A big hat on his head and spurs on his heels, Sid Price led them all to pasture. Russell Richards and Charles Walker followed with pride. Bobby Sooter stumbled in unaware what was happening. Bringing up the rear came Bill Wolf with Old Faithful strapped to his hip f the group was complete. When the class had finished one year and began its second, Sally Herrera joined in. Danny Cogburn decided to leave for a whilebut was soon to retum. J The third for these youngsters began when two more faces appeared. Beverly Woodland and Shelly Frazier had decided other places were uncool and had to go to Tatum Schools. -With growing up, came awards. Beverly and Sid won the citizenship award. Pam, Russell, and Janice won scholarship awards. Things went well through the fourth and then fifth grade was here. With a new year came two more faces. Cindy Gainer and Russell Whited joined the mindful batch. The years passed on until the class had progressed to Junior High. Several new people appeared at this time. Adrienne Bowman from Henderson, Nevada, and Gary Whited from Snyder, Texas, brought more variety to the class. Soon sound and color were brought to the scene. Ricky Kennedy, a cowboy .type, was here to rattle all the girls. Then Regina Pitts with red hair came to change the world. Not long after a young, dark haired man joined the crowed. Start from Hobbs came David Bonds to see what Tatum had to offer. S Then in the last year of school as the group became tightly knitted, two more friends were added. Cathy Parsons from Lovington and Monty Cole from Albuquerque put the finishing touches to the Class of '77 . Now as a whole we graduate today. V , 29
