I hope that it holds for you many happy memories of your school days. For myselfl shall not forget any of you, for these among other reasons: It was the class of 1953-54 that: 1. Made this Yearbook possible. 2. Organized and put into operation Tatum School's first Student Council. 3. First class to graduate from our beautiful new school building. 4. Strenuously objected to a short noon hour. To allof you I extend my heart-felt wishes for your happiness and success for the future.

I X., X yr'xX W . D. CAST ER The goal of our school is the development of good citizens. To- day as never before our nation needs those citizens who can think for themselves and who will not be led off to false goals. This develop- ment is our aim, inside and out of formal classroom. Our desire is to provide experiences in team work, field trips, publication staffs, punc- tuality and dependibility, so as to develop real citizenship, this we hope to do every day, We also hope to develop the spiritual side of life HS well, that element of life which never passes away.
