Swim Team Plunges Into a New Season i 33, W ' - Mike Richards, captain of the boys' team, won the back stroke event in the state meet, ts Go! Wally Roscoe dives for that extra second in a fast start. Coached by Mrs. Sandy Blackburn, the swim- ming team fared well this year. In regular season meets, the boys' team beat Frankfort, Richmond Model, Lafayette, Bryan Station, and Henry Clay twice, losing to Ashland by one point. The girls were defeated by Henry Clay, Ashland, and Rich- mond Model. In state competition the boys' medley relay team, composed of Doug Quick, Mike Richards Charlie Saunier, and John Stanback, placed first in that event. The girls' medley relay squad, includ- ing Debbie Dougherty, Susan Hoff, Kassie Kessingef, and Joan Roscoe, came in fourth. The boys' team was rated fifth out of 23 participants, while the girls' team was ninth out of 19. A
