I HEERLE DERS BOOST TC SPIRIT E Lori Couzens lets the crowd know she's proud ,of the Commodores. 5 The Tates Creek Cheerleaders again proved to be a valuable asset to school spirit. They presented above- average pep rallies which united the student body behind the various teams. During the summer, the squad attended the National Cheerleaders As- sociation clinic where they gamered three second places and the Spirit Stick. In the Regional Touma- ment, the A-team group won the runner-up trophy in cheerleading competition. The members of the B-team squad were: Cathy Carlson, Peggy Jones, Lynn Woods, Carol Riggs, Brenda Clarke, and Cheryl Bolton. Mrs. Sharon Johnson sponsored both groups and can be commended for her fine work with the girls.
