The November presentation of Gentlemen Prefer Blondesu, a former Broadway smash hit musical, was also a Tascosa smash hit. Lorelei Lee's and Dorothy Shawis ex- periences with men, money and older women proved to be the unifying theme of the fast-moving musical showpiece. Throughout the production skillful choreography, under the direction of Neil Hess, spiced the story action. Singing, directed by Bill Cormack, and musical accompaniment conducted by Bill Porter, combined with effective stage scenery to procure another enthusiasti- HHOW ARE YOU tonight, ladies, inquires junior Howard Canode to junior cally accepted TH5 musical- Kathy Busch and senior Priscilla Pye. Boys' Ranch Fund Hits 32,608 Higfi 2 'VE! YOU WORM, orders Mrs. Darleen Russell as she induces ' lFarley to donate a nickel for the right of chewing gum. Fhat will be one nickel in the bucket, .,7' demanded Mrs. Darleen Russell cf 5 ,tm chewing Cal Farley before he was iresented with the record-breaking 152,608 check for Tascosa's Country Cousins. Mrs. Russell,s jesting repri- mand climaxed a two-month campaign of Rebel Club and homeroom groups to raise money for Boys, Ranch. Since the beginning of the year, students have been collecting money through car washes, bake sales and homeroom donations. In return for the check, handed to Mr. Farley at the Dec. 21 Christmas assem- bly, Boys' Ranch presented Tascosa with a permanent membership to the Ranch signed by all of the boys. Other gifts of the day included the beautiful traditional Christmas music, presented by the joint choirs and orches- tra to the student body and special packages for foreign exchange students Kay Ogihara and Andy Eklund. 30 CHRISTMAS PRESENTS are opened and shown to the audience by foreign exchange students Andy Eklund and Kay Ogihara.
