Student Council representatives sell tags. Junior and Senior Spirits present skits and make favors in order to boost THS athletic squads. Cheerleaders paint cars before games. Enthusiastic students hang giant posters in the halls. Spirit is in the Honor Society, in the musical, in the choirs and the bands, in the Las Memorials and The Pioneer staffs, in the faculty . . . l i s ,,,. AW Assemblies Add Pause Thcit Refreshes Assemblies are the spice of school life. And though Tascosais booming en- rollment necessitated a class division during these moments away from study. enthusiasm lessened not one bit. The 999-seat auditorium filled for orientation sessions, nominations of class officers and royalty. visits from ML Quaker . and the New Mexico University Choir. Also adding variety to regulated school days were favorites such as the roof- raising 0thers', combo. the tradition- filled presentation of Miss Southern Belle and her court, rousing previews of 'fllentlemen Prefer Blondesp, well- received orchestra and choir programs. Even though assemlilies add a refresh- ing touch to the usual routine, classes are still the foundation of school life. A hard day ol' studying, tests. lectures and more tests comhine to leave students, as well as teachers, exhausted, hut with a feeling of satisfaction in their accomplishments. ,WM WW Q I :lla M AND THE LAND of the free . . . home of the brave sing the choir accompanied by the orchestra as they present a patriotic assembly in the fall.
