It seemed that every time the sen- iors turned around-they had to face another test if not for one reason for another. A few of the tests that took the skill of each upperclassman were the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test, the National Merit Scholarship Test, the College Entrance Examination Board Test, the Betty Crocker Search for the Homemaker of Tomorrow Test, and the Admission test tor Texas University. As a result of these examinations, several seniors received full-time or part- time scholarships. Saturday night, December 12, 1959 found couples gathering in the beautifully decorated Commons, the meet- ing place for Tascosa. In early November the student council took to the homerooms 'he idea of having student mixers of dances n the Commons. Thus many enioyable mours were spent in this year of 1959-1960. LOOK A-WAY, DIX-IE-LAND! . . . cr school wide hope was realized that day last fall when the organ for the auditorium was delivered. This group of seniors is one of many who will enjoy this gift from the entire student body. 35
