This book belongs to THE WILDCAT 1970 Senior Class Tarrant High School Tarrant, Alabama Foreword We gaze, awed, on a whirling, modern world ... on a nation that has reached out with eager groping hands to conquer the mysteries of the earth . . . and now reaches with new intensity, constantly seeking, anxiously probing, exploring the dark chasms of the unkown to grasp and conquer the infinite universe in the immortal clutch of knowledge. We watch, cautiously, the determined stride of our nation and catch our breaths...for tomorrow we know that ours will be this conquest. We hasten our pace, striving harder, moving forward, molding youth into man, man into citizen, preparing for tomorrow. We set our goals higher and higher, building a new strength in mind and body, gaining confidence and the power of knowledge to sustain our flight through life. Persistently we move onward, pushing farther and farther, until suddenly we realize that we arc-caught up in our nation's intricate pattern of progress . . . ... A SMALL PART OF THE SPACE AGE.
