Commencement Recognizes 106 -l ll A total of 106 Tarrant County Junior College stu- dents received degrees and certificates during the first Commencement Exercises of the new institution in the Physical and Health Education Building. Included in the 106 students who participated in the Commencement Exercises were 101 who were awarded Associate in Arts or Associate in Applied Science Degrees, and five who received Certificates of Completion for one-year occupational programs. Dr. John J. Kamerick, president of North Texas State University in Denton, was commencement speaker for the initial TCJC graduating class. He was introduced by Dr. R, .lan LeCroy, executive dean of the Northeast Campus, after opening remarks by Dr. Joe B. Rushing, Gary Pillars, president of the South Campus Student Government Association, gave the invocation which opened the ceremonies. Graduating with Highest Honors were Esther Berkley and Thelma Hill, Graduates with High Honors included Tommy Badget, Martha Butler, Carol Smith, Gwendo- lynne Strain, and Vikki Warren. Graduates with Honors were Stephanie Harrison, Mary Morgan, Suzanne Patton, Gary Pillars, Edward Wakeland, Robert Meyers, and Pamela Turner. QI Guest speaker Dr. John J.
