Forum Presents Lecture Series Betore The semester change, humanitarian and author Louis Lomax spoke inthe gym on Religion, Race, Revolution, and Texas State Senator Barbara Jordan presented a speech in The Living Room concerning Women in Politics. Miss Jordan is considered one ot the most influential women in Texas, First performer to appear after semester tests was TCJC's own voice instructor T. N. Retit, who gave a recital in the Carillon Theatre, Mrs. Phyllis Slcolaut, piano instructor, accompanied at The piano. Retit sang selece tions from Schumann, Heine, and Pavel, in addition to contemporary compositions by Leonard McCormick, who is director ot choral music. Early in February, Penn Jones was guest lecturer discussing the Kennedy Assassinations l-le stated that The Kennedy deaths were related and are part of one giant conspiracy. Jones is author ot Forgive My Grief, and is also editor of The Midlothian Mirror. April showers brought Bill Sands to The Living Room where the former in-mate ot San Quentin gave a stirring lecture. Sands is devoting his lite to helping other exe convicts as well as those still in prison, I wish every one could find The inner peace l now have simply from helping others. , 3 . 4, . it ,gg ...
