Skull Level l-listorq Stratifications History ot man was realized by anthropology stu- dents examining tive types of skull casts in Dr, Robert Plcitts class. The oldest skull cast was made from an original skull discovered in l923. Examined by Dr. Raymond Dart ot the University ot Wintrasand, South Africa, this specimen, knovvn as Darts Child, was a seven-year-old male living more than ci million years ago, Dr. Platt ovvns a skull cast ot Midland Man, originally found in V953 near Midland, Texas. Several dart points and arrow heads were found near the scene, indicating the speciman was ot Indian descent. TCJC was one ot lO schools in the US chosen to participate in a sociological research project by the American Association tor Junior Colleges. An innovation in aircratt escape systems, the Fill escape module designed by General Dynamics, was shovvn on tilm to psychology students as they toured General Dynamics, The trip centered on the human factors engineering section of GD and physiological problems relating to topics covered during lecture periods.
