ml. CVIIZIZMZN SGA Earns Top State Honors The South Campus Carillon's ring ot authority and accomplishment is due in part to the Student Govern- ment Association on campus. At the T969 state conven- tion ofthe Texas Junior College Student Council Associa- tion, the South Campus SGA was presented a plaque naming it as the outstanding student government asso- ciation inthe state ot Texas. The SGA achieved this success as a result ot its efficient organizational structure and its concern for all areas ot student lite, SGA activities branched out during the school year. It passed a Student Bill ot Rights and Pesponsibilities, and created the Academic Affairs com- mittee to hear student grievances concerning academic policies and procedures. SGA also worked in the area of leadership develope ment by attending various retreats and seminars over the year.
