Julie Weiler, freshman, was elected di- rector ofthe state organization. A delegation of freshmen and sophomores attended the state meeting of TNSA in Houston, When the largest club in school conducted bake sales last fall, one member was excused from kitchen chores. James Austin, the only male on the 93-member roster of NSA, attended all monthly socials, lectures, and films planned to introduce members to each other and to their profession. Crisp pin-striped uniforms were discarded for the Christmas party since no one was admitted without a costume and a gift of food. The food was later arranged in gift boxes and presented to needy families. The Fort Worth Opti-Mrs. contributed S540 to freshmen nurses for uniforms and supplies, Nine nurses were chosen by the Financial Aids Committee on the basis of academic achievement to receive S60 each.
