Mcl17b0rter Fighter Squadron Thirteen As a result of CNO's decision to have three, rather than two Hghter squadrons in each air group, Fighter Squadron 'l'HIR'1'lilLN, the newest member of the Air Group was commissioned 2 August 1948 in San Diego, Calilornia.
