A few words from our superintendent With the knowledge explosion and the increasing rate of change in our society, the need for trained and educated personnel in business, industry, and social service agencies becomes greater. A college degree need not be the goal for everyone, but 'che opportunity of further schooling and personal growth to the thresh- hold of self-fulfillment is yours. These should be your main objectives: self-fulfillment, attaining the high- est possible educational and vocational goals in terms of your interests and abilities, and finding purposes and values to hiunan existence. A message from the principals To the Taos High Student Body: Let me congratulate the class of 74 for achieving one of the most important goals in their lives. This is only the first stepping stone in your lives. I am sure each one of you is destined for great accomplish- ments in life. You can and will accomplish your ambitions, all it takes is hard work and desire on your part. To the test of the student bodyg a reminder that what you achieve in school will determine, to a great extent, what your future will be. Habits, knowledge, and ambidons acquired in high school will be a part of you for the rest of your life. Keep this in mind and make the most of your high school life. Use your god given abilities to their fullest, never be satisfied with a half measure strive for a full one. Selso Martinez Assistant Principal This year I have been privileged to serve as your prin- cipal and I wish to thank and compliment various groups through this message. First, I commend the Don Fernando staff and sponsors for their perseverance and dedication. Their pictoral history of Taos High in 73-74 will be long remem- bered and appreciated. Secondly, I wish to inform the student body that it is gratifying to see so many students who have not taken their education lightly. I thank the teaching staff for making so many pro- grams possible. Without their wisdom, padence, and perseverence, noihing would be possible. On behalf of all of us, I Wish to express appreciation to the lunch room and custodial staff for making our school environment so pleasant and enjoyable.
