Principal and Vice-Principal 'A A hs., I u I I 1 f l. U n. . Ip! 5 3 , LEFT TO RIGHT are Mr. W. Parr and Mr. R. Martinez I wish to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation to the high school stu- dent body and the faculty for making the school year a most successful year. Without your coop- eration and understanding our best plans would have been made in vain. There is room for improvement of our school program and with your dedication to duty this will come to pass. Virgil Gutierrez Vice Principal PRINCIPAUS MESSAGE This year the Don Fernando has chosen to concentrate on the ideas of growing, living, and changing in harmony, ideas which are increasingly important as the world around us continues to grow and change with intensified speed. Here at Taos High School we have always been com- mitted to the continuing growth and preparation for life of our students. But now we, like the rest of the world, become increasingly committed to change as wellg constructive changeg change for the better. Our commitment is, as' the Don Fernando suggests, to change with harmony and balance , to progress but not to lose sight of what has been good in the past and will remain useful for the future. With these ideals in mind I am sure that the class of 1973 will go forth into a future filled with that prom- ise and hope which has the power to achieve growth and change with harmony. On behalf of the admin- istration and faculty of Taos High School I want to take this opportunity to wish that class every success in whatever goals its members choose for themselves. William Parr Principal Vice Principal 65
