i i , 1 nl Drama provides enriching experiences. The Taos Student Repertory Company came into existence about a year ago, being formed by Nat Simmons, Georgia I-Iotton and a group of interested students. A Drama Class was arranged for the students during third period. lt was decided that the people involved would put on a play-ANTIGONE-and so began the acting careers of several students. However, the main purposes of the Company are to bring the people together in the class and the community and to share the goals and to experience the ideas of others. Taos Student Repertory is a geuinely great experience in knowing others, in bringing the entire community together, and in strengthening the ties between individuals and their enviroment. The plays are the channels through which people can express themselves in a creative manner. Nat Simmons directs the plays done by the Repertory Company. So far The Company has performed ANTIGONE, TOMORROW BELONGS TO US, DARK OF THE MOON, AND DAVID AND LISA. The musical WEST SIDE STORY was performed in May. Many more plays are in the plans for the future of Taos Student Repertory Company. T a-ff' ' Y ,ff - -...-4'- if ,i 1 i I.
