CHOLARS Once again it is time for us to honor those TANTASQUA students who have excelled academically. As was the case last year we have endeavored to choose two students, a boy and a girl, who are to serve as represen- tatives for all the TANTASQUA scholars. But unlike last year our decision was com- plicated by the fact that we have a three way tie for the male lead. The resolution of this happy dilemma was a most rewarding experience. It is not often that three out- standing students complete their high school studies in a dead-heat for first in their class, but that is the case this year. In addition to this remarkable pheno- mona the remaining students who have achieved scholastically this year are a truly Christopher Peters outstanding group of young people. Many of them have had early acceptance at var- ious prestigious colleges and universities and many others have applied and, in all probability, will be accepted at still others. It is the purpose of these few words to convey our feelings of admiration and re- spect for the sustained performance of these individuals. It should also be noted here that in identifying those people specifi- cally, we are in effect honoring all of our scholars. As it is virtually impossible to identify and eulogize each of these scholars, we have chosen the above to symbolize for all, the dedication and hard work that have gone into their success. We also wish to reiterate that there are still people who con- sider that the primary purpose of the high school experience is education, and that Brian Szware there is in that select group those who excell in this experience. It is to all these people that this page is dedicated. We here do ac- knowledge their achievements and honor their steadfast pursuit of excellence. Con- ‘ gratulations and a job well done.
