Roland W. Wilson Principal Demand for the highly educated man is a consequence of the kind of life we live today. Technological change and increasing social complexity are characteristics of our times which require a higher degree of education than ever before on the part of the members of our society. We need more professionals, more proficient workers, more scholars, more proficient management; but above all we need a better educated citizenry. This demand requires us to examine our efforts and evaluate our progress as we become participants in this competitive world. Our program at Tantasqua provides the education necessary to meet the increasing demand for people to advance to higher education. Our programs have as their specific purpose the development of the individual to the limit of his ability, socially, culturally and academically. Each facet is equally important and essential to the indi- vidual and to society in general. Each student must have a basic education sufficient to his needs, and others must continue in education to become the intellectual and professional group of tomorrow. The challenge to meet this demand is great but you must prepare for this challenge and seize opportunity when it is presented. Your growth is your country’s growth and survival.
