The 5-1 lDivision provides services in many ways from the ship's store and soda fountain ro laundering the crew's clothes. In addition they maintain an inventory of thousands ofitems vamed at hundreds of thousands of dollars in general stores. S-2 Division's primary responsibi lity is to provide three well balanced yet appetizing meals and satisfying mid- night rations each day for the three hundred enlisted men of TANNER. In addition, S-2 Division is the hone of the professional stewards who are de- voted to the service of the wardroom, from the most eloquent meal of l amb curry to BLT on toast.
