This includes a multitude of gear from the anchor windlass on the foc'sle to the range light atop the A frame back aft. Within the realm of E Division is the ship's internal speaker and nerve- like sound powered phone systems, An Internal Communications Technician or an Electrician can also be found manning the throttle or any underway watch or showing the movie to the crew in Number 1 Hold or on top of Number 2 hatch. The Electrician is one of the most valuable men on the ship and, without his ser- vices, many necessities and comforts would be lost.
