,,, ,, , T? SPORTS REVIEW Tangier had one of it's best teams in history this year. The Tigers came through with a record of 21 games won and 4 lost with the great coaching skill of Mr. Harrison. The TIGERS also won the first SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in the schools history. The Tigers were beaten out of the Valley Pre- lims in the final game, after downing Rockville and Mecca, by Rosedale with a score of 45 to 42. In the first game ofthe Sectional after trailing Cayuga all the way Bill Bush stepped up to the charity stripe and for the second time in his career dropped in two free throws to give the Tigers a 35 to 34 victory. In the next two games the Tigers had a little easier time downing Newport 62 to 49 and Montezuma '72 to 60. In the final game the Tigers came out with determination in their eyes and downed the Rockville squad by a score of 42 to 36 for the first Tangier High School Sectional Champion ship in history. The young Tigers show some great prospects for next year as they came out with 16 games won and 2 lost as their record. Here is a record showing the games won and lost.
