Nt ' 'Z at ,Q SENIOR CLASS 4. N PROPHECY .ff As reporters for the Tangier Chronicle, we were assigned to cover the reunion of the Class of '57 as they gathered at the Tangier High School after ten years of separation. Following is a report of our exp- erience. The first to arrive was the sponsor of their class, Mr. Harrison, who is now sports editor for the New York Times. As we were completing our interview with Mr, Harrison, we saw Larry Colson and Bob Norris. Lar- ry, a former basketball star for Tangier High, told us that he is doing very well as a ballet dancer. His manager, Bob Norris, informed us that Larry is now appearing at the Ballet Russe in New York. We then spotted Jeannette Rowings and went immediately to get an interview with this celebrity. As most of you know, Jeannette was elected Miss Tangier and Miss Indiana, and was then chosen Miss America for 1966. Coming to join her was Pat Hazelwood, a former cheer leader for T. H.S. She told us she is now the chief crane operator for the Cory Construction Company. As we glanced around the room, we saw Bob Yater, another former basketball great at Tangier High In our interview with him, we learned that he is living in a pent house apartment in New York and is he- ad of the Ladies' Lingerie Department at Macy's Department Store. Sitting to the right of us now was Betty and Larry Wirth with their famous quintuplets. We went ov- er and talked with them for a few minutes and they told us that they are now living on a chicken ranch in Wyoming. In addition, they have a weekly radio program called Chickens for Profit . Just arriving at that moment was the world famous bubble dancer, Lois McCol1am. She told us that she had just flown in from Las Vegas where she is appearing at the Bright Night . This Page Sponsored By: This Page Sponsored By: BALL'S FLOWER SHOP R. E. SMITH Rockville, Ind. , 42 I if ' . ' 1 'Vx d i SENIOR PROPHECY fContinuedy As we walked past a group of the classmates, we overheard Chuck Smith telling of his good fortune. We naturally stopped and eavesdropped. It seems he invented a non-parkable chewing gum. This im- mediately secured him a good position with the Wrigley Chewing Gum Company and in no time at all he worked his way up to his present position as president of the company. As we were resting, Mona McMurtrey came along. She was another cheerleader for dear old T, H.S. She told us she is now residing in Florida and that she and her husband own and operate a fishing worm fa- IH1. Glancing over our program, we noticed that Bill Bus, another famous T. H. S. athlete, was going to entertain with a selection from Madam Butterfly. Bill, as most of you know is now a famous opera sing- er. He just recently made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera. The speaker of the evening was the Reverend Kermit D. Crum, Pastor of the Ist. Mission Church in San Francisco. Having gotten most of the information we desired, we left just as Reverend Crum was be- ginnihg his talk, since this was to be a private reunion for the class. We were happy to learn that all of the members of the Class of '57 have been successful and to pass this information along to our readers. We wish this group the very best of luck in the future.
