History Once again there comes a change to each member of the Class of 1948 Soon we will take our last lingering look at the red brick building, which has been our school home for the last few years No mole will we see the familiar faces of the children of the lower grades running through the halls of thc school Soon memories will be all that remam of the good times which we had at T H lS But those memories will be recalled long after the coming years pass Our Freshman year found us a lively group of students with high ideals and high hopes for our school career. Being Freshman we did not play an important part in extra curricular activities there- fore our time was spent chiefly in getting into trou- ble and in home room efforts. The first year laid a strong foundation on which to build our high school career The next year offered new experiences and oppor- tunities to us as Sophomores to prove our ability as leaders in the school. The organization of several new clubs held a prominent place in the develop- ment of our high school history. The special event of this year was the operetta, The Norwegian Nights which was a. crowning success 5. As Juniors we found ourselves older and with added responsibility We now took an active part in varied phases of school activities especially ln fields of music and athletics Many members of the To add to our excitement, we performed our first chemistry experiment in the laboratory The music, which was supplied on graduation night by our class gave us a preview of what lay ahead Upon reaching the peak of our high school career, we realized the great task and responsibility of be- ing Seniors. Taking the lead in all activities the Class of 48 proved a capable and efficient guide The year was crowned with many outstanding events both educational and recreational. The trip to Williamsburg Va. touring the historic sites f our great nation was one of the most instructive and worthwhile events of our high school life. Now the Class of 48 prepares to hand down its responsibilities to its succeeding schoolmates the class of '49. Into the world we go leaving behind the hours we will never forget, a monument that will always be a place of happy memories good old T H S T. H.
