'W 0 Class offrcers Frances Borrskey Secretary Marrlyn Vrleta Vrce Presrdent Wava Jean Graham Treasurer Drck Doran Presrdent Senior Class Seventy seven L1l' Abners Da1sy Mays and Pappy and Mammy Yokums were 1n1t1ated IH the fall of 1951 maklng us offlcrally members of Tama I-hgh School for four years In Aprrl after we got acquaunted we entertarned the school at the freshman party The dust flew out of the trophy cases when we the sopht more class d1d a cleamng Job We pol1shed the trophles cleaned the draperles and got all the f1ngerpr1nts off the wmdows Some of our athletrc classmates helped w1n the football, basketball, and track trophres added that year. Dragonkltes, butterfly k1tes, and spr1ng posters set the theme for the sopho more class party of 1953 Our sophomore year ended w1th a skat1ng party at H1negarders skat1ng rlnk. Mystery, murder, and looklng for Arch1e's pet turtle made our Jun1or class play Home Sweet Hom1c1de memorable A wmtry settmg was used for the party. Every square dancer 1n the communlty showed up for the barn dance 1n a real barn even when rt was rarnmg pltchforks. Thrs nlcely padded our savmgs for the prom All the Jumors and senlors took a trlp to a Hawa11an ball room on May 17, 1954. The palm trees, beach background, band stand hut, and colorful streamer ce1l1ng set a gala mood. We put dark clrcles under everyones eyes w1th our two n1ght prom. As august senlors we have gone through the annual 3Ct1V1t1CS of 1n1t1at1on of freshmen, senlor party, class play, and sk1p day. We were guests of theJun1ors at a beaut1fu1ly decorated prom. Many 1nd1v1duals from the class have won honors 1n muslc, athlet1cs, and wr1t1ng -d1v1s1on I ratlngs 1n musrc, the basketball and track troph1es, all con ference teams, and nat1onal recogn1t1on of wrltlngs.
