The Repair Division has a never ending task of fixing things, building things, improvising, making do with what they can. Many a welding job can arise on a large ship of steel and particularly one twenty-five years old. Another, and perhaps one of their most important responsibilities, is damage control pre- paredness of the ship. The damage control training program on TALUGA is one of the Service Force's finest.
