SCJOOL DAYS The big d J o curr d on September 3 l9 S Th big day Nhen the Elghth Grade Graduates of Taloga Grade School ent ered High School The bright nd shining hour, the goal of all those hard years that had gone on before Ne w re a large class fin our opinion! The class was Keith Caldwell, Robert Clark, Dennis Koehn, Mack Matthews, Junior Mercer, Maurice Lee Nillis, Rosa Lee Hart, Betty Jo Harwell, Arlene Jones, Rosalie Koehn, Mona McDon ld, and Dorthy Jean dard Je began as green Freshmen, and the gruesome part o the year was the lnevitable initlation tnat all Freshmen have to go through At the end of our initiation which really was som thlng, w finally settled down to business On Seotember 2, l9h6 it was time for school ag in, but thls tlme we were Sophemores, nd we felt like we were all but grown up The y ar began with the s me classmates as before, except for the two vacant seats left by Maurice Lee Jillis and Betty Jo Harwell These seats were oon filled Joined by three former Eight Grade Gr duates, Billie June Kunc from Lnid, Bertha Ann Wilson from Stillwater, and Irene Gilchrist from Salt Lake City, Utah The highlight of the year was when we went with Mack in his old flivver to gather up pies and doughnuts for Folloween Je were all glad to see each other when began Je were all back except Dennis Koehn to Enld During the first six weeks we lost who moved to South Dakota The most dramati our Junior year :ho had moved Mona McDonald occurrence of e year was our Junlor pl y, nMystery at Midnight H At last we were Seniors wlth everyone present except Keith Caldwell who moved to Shattuck Soon Johnny Boden joined us and became the eleventh member of our class After ChPlStm3S we pfesented our play, 'The Campbells A e Com1ng,' whlch was dlrected by Miss Vivian Sills every one seemed to think it was good, so we decided it must have been At the end of the fourth six weeks, Johnny Boden left for Callfornia where he lS now stationed in the United States Navy The big moment of the year will be wh n we don our caps and gowns and receive our diplomas Although we rejoice to have reached this milestone 1n our education, we regret to part with our many friends which we have made during our high school days 'P 111 ' M . - av e e o , M . e . . . 3 ' I 1 - e . a T .
