Iiigh School. week later they were joined by the brain of the class, Jarrell Car- f see. The first week was one of misery and pride. Y 5 we were always late for class, forgetting our room I assignments, schedules, etc., and continuously 3 i reminded of the initiation that was to cone. 3 7 The fatal day of our initiation finally came ' I and the poor Freshmen that were caught were fed f 'fried vorms.' All in all we lived through it with Q I the reminder that we could do the initiating next 3 f year. By the end of the first semester we knew , ' more than the Leniors CFreshmen's opinionj and had f I learned the tgpical hifh school slang and ways. f I The best assembly progran of the year was a play by I Q the Freshmen boys dressed up as girls. i3est figure Q 5 was sported by Leroy ?ergusonl 5 f The class roll of this year was as follows: f I Imlvin Coyle, Orval Ellis, Leroy Ferguson, Jarrell f 3 Garsee, 'Jilburn Hanson, Gail Ilunter, Earl Lee F Miller, Neil Peckham, Waverly Pollock, Lelia Clay- 1 I ton, Ima Jean Mercer, Helen Furnish, Margie Graves, 1 Alberta Mercer, Georgia Kouns, and Grace strecher. Our sophomore year began with the loss of Waverly and Margie, and the addition of Jesse Helzer and Charles Waters. Charles began dating Lelia soon after school started and so started a sparkling romance that is still going strong today. Jesse was quickly captured by Doris Lane, a Junior. We lost Leroy Ferguson the last semester due to the untimely arrival of a teacher in the room. HBinnyH started driving his dad's pick-up that year, and had all the girls in a flutter, especially ' Georgia Kouns, Alberta Mercer, Virgania Brenham, and Doris Lane. sfo had a good baseball team with 'BinnyH, Jarrell, Charles, and Jesse winning posi- tions on the squad. As Hhigh classn Juniors we thought we were coming up in the world. Our class boasted ll mem- bers, after losing Georgia and Gracie to Ceiling,
