wif WWW Q This year's Talmadge sports program includes many excellent athletes. Our teams worked very hard and put out a lot of effort. At the beginning of the year Mr. Turner was coaching cross country. This year most ot the runners placed, and they put out their best as a team. The volleyball team had 30 members. Mr. Bradstreet saw a lot of imporvement as the season passed. In football, the teams had a very exciting year. The coaches thought their teamwork was excellent. Altogether the season was fun, exciting and memorable for the players, managers, and coaches. For girls basketball they had Miss Koka and Mr. Williamson come down from the high school to coach the teams. Everyone worked hard so they could play their best. This year wrestling was coached by Mr. Andrews. There were a lot of heavyweights on the team, and some other strong points were the lightweights and upperweights. Although a little weak in middleweights, our team placed third in district. The eighth basketball players, coached by Mr. Mountain, are very dedicated. Good height, good speed, and knowledge of the game is what helped them go undefeatedl says Mr. Mountain. They also played together as a team. We should be very proud of our athletic programs. Mr, Bearse says, Our athletic program is probably the most successful in the league. We agree, and we are glad to have students who like to participate.
