Prom '72 Happiness is. . Prom, May 27,1972 A rise in ticket price, no publicity. . . There's going to he a prom? Too few tables, set with plastic flowers. Despite obstacles, perfect weather and good attendance. Martylohnson and Pat Ritchie reign as Queen and King. Eyes sparkled as couples snuggled and danced to The Carl Micheals Band. Baccalaureate- in the early afternoon. Sober choir selections and a startling address by Reverend Geerdes. Strangely out of tune to the crowd's mood. Commencement- late afternoon winds tossled gowns and captured caps as graduates organized into lines.
