Elected and appointed officials took over Tallmadge for a day. Confusing explanations of procedure from Mayor Voekle, cleared up by Mrs. Cochran, clerk. Dinner at the Buffet with the real Tallmadge officials, followed by a mock council meeting. Mayor joe Cranata proclaimed May 31 as f'Student Government Day. Doug Cooper, Council President. Council men and women stated views, suspended house rules and statutes. Ordinances changed to resolutions, some were rejected completely. Prom '72 Happiness is. . Prom, May 27,1972 A rise in ticket price, no publicity. . . There's going to he a prom? Too few tables, set with plastic flowers. Despite obstacles, perfect weather and good attendance. Martylohnson and Pat Ritchie reign as Queen and King. Eyes sparkled as couples snuggled and danced to The Carl Micheals Band.
