Faced vvith the task of preserving the peace in the Western Pacitic Area, the SEVENTH Fleet stands ready to meet lorce vvith torce to protect the rights and treedoms ot her Allies. Among them are Japan, Korea and members ol SEATO. As evidenced by OPERATION TULUNGAN and the rapid movement ot troops to Thailand during the Laos crisis, the Amphibious Task Group is an integral part ot the strength ot the SEVENTH Fleet. ln carrying out her mission to transport troops and their equipment to their destination, the TALLADEGA has accomplished her tasks with great skill and punctuality. She was proud to serve with the SEVENTH Fleet during her VVESTPAC Cruise.
