'N This year Talihina High School will bid edieu to ten young men, all graduating seniors, who were largely responsible for bringing four golden years of athletics to their school and town The ten will step into life as men, but their history will long remain in the school's trophy case and their records will set a mark which future generations Talihina athletes will look During a span of four golden years, Talihina athletic teams ruled the gridiron, oaken courts and these ten Tigers the arena, but proved their scholastic ability, conduct, and their sportmanship was widely acclaimed Space is too short to list all the many individual and team honors awarded during the high school points such as state class 'C' football semi finalists in 1952 and regional finalists in 1953 and rated fifth in the state for 1954. It has been my privelege to associate with these young men the past four years. I w0n't say they can't be replaced, because Tiger athletic teams will always be a power. I will say, however, that these graduating seniors will aidffuture teams because their records will be a goal that future Tigers must continually strive to attain. While I'm a little sad that their familiar faces will no longer be seen on the Talihina gridiron I'm sure their opponents are breathing a sigh of relief. So without fanfare let ll th baseball diamonds winning virtually every honor It must be said that were the backbone of those great teams Their prowess was not confined to years of these young men It is necessary, however, to mention a few high , me ca ese seniors forward for their last rou d of applause: fBottom row, left to right?
