CLASS PROPHESY OF 1954 As youwalk down Main Street of Talco in 1964 you will see many changes since the class of 54 graduated from T H S If you happen to look into the new magnificent bank you will see Dorothy Bowden who finally gave up her hope of a career in Hollywood to become receptionist in the Talco State Bank Another elaborate building onMa1n Street is Rex S1keS Real Estate Firm where Miss Faye Blackworks as his private secretary but as you inquire about Faye you are told that she 15 on vacation in New Orleans Just next door you will find Lavon McGee s exclusive dress shop Upon entering youwill hear her giving specific instructions to her principal model Shirley Adcox who hasjust returned from achieving world wide fame in New York Paris and London By this time you have come to the new Titus County Court House and after a terrific search you f1nally locate Gayle Burnham s Tax Collector and Assessor s Office in Department No 4201 As you leave you are stopped by Marie Dyke Feature Editor for the Talco Space Herald She tells you that she has just completed an interview of John Henry Lovell the new postmaster Turning left onto Fifth Avenue the glittering lights of Donald Easterling s swanky night club The High Top nearly dazzle you for a moment then you recognize his Alexander s Ragtime Band at our high school assembly programs Right in the heart of the city you find The Hollywood a beauty salon owned a n d operated by Sue Bean Right across the street you notice Johnny s No 2 which you have seen advertised for its large IOC hamburgers It is owned and operated by Mr Johnny Lilley As you start up Grand Avenue toward the school building you pass the new Talco Clinic where you learn that Barnell Stevens Adams R N is the supervisor of the entire nurses staff As you go through the residential district you will notice a house with the name The Kelley s You knockon the door and are greeted by Patsy Easterling Kelley She tells you that Gloria Smith Frye is st1ll in Florida with her A1r Force husband When you get to the top of that unforgettable old h1ll and enter the school build ing you will see that quite a few of the 54 graduates are st1ll in the school but not as students any longer As you talk with Jean Gable the School Secretary she tells youthat Charlene Collier Hearron 1S the Home Economics teacher at Grand Prairie Jean also shows you to the new Commercial Department where you are greeted by Carolyn Ryan now head of the department In the gym you will see Patsy Price and Leroy Matthews both basketball coaches talking over the recent ball games when Talco won d1str1ct over James Bowie their long standing rival As you start down to the football stadium you are surprised at being hailed from the dressing room by .
