The bands this year were under the direction of a new director, Mr. Clinton Anderson. Gold Band’s twenty-six members presented three concerts this year, the fall concert, winter concert, and the formal concert held in Renton at the Carco Theater in spring. They also participated in the Seamount League Band Festivel held at Pteninsula High School. Stage Band this year was made up of twenty members and played music that ranged from swing to modern jazz and rock. Blue Band’s fifteen members participated in two concerts during the year. The primary purpose of this band is to train musicians for Gold Band. Collins Loupe, a senior, showed outstanding musical talents when he was accepted as a student player of the Seattle Symphony family concert which performed March 12 at Lindberg High School. As a member of the Bicentennial Band from the State of Washington, he will travel to Washington D.C. with the group next September.
